Art Deco in mcallen, Texas

This client loves Art Deco style and asked for a relaxed, but formal feel for the home with a palette of soft, soothing colors. We chose a palette of blue, gray, and white. in the formal living room, you can see Art Deco in the details of the coffee table, chairs, and the ceiling fan. For some drama, we based the ceiling mural on a painting by French Art Deco artist Edoard Benedictus. The mural was designed by Diva by Design and painted by local artist Judith Soendker.

In the TV viewing area off of the kitchen, the neutral blue-gray walls allow the whote sofa to be the star of the show. You can see even more stars in the area rug, the detail on the cabinet under the TV, and the custom painting by local artist Mary Lockhart.
